Symposium in Honour of Heinz D. Kurz
Symposium “Economic Thinking in Classical Tradition”, 27-29 March 2011
Dear Colleague,
On the occasion of the 65th birthday of Professor Heinz D. Kurz the Graz Schumpeter Centre is organising an International Symposium on the general theme “Economic Thinking in Classical Tradition”, which will take place at the University of Graz from 27 to 29 March 2011. We would be very pleased if you could participate in the Symposium, preferably by presenting a paper on a topic of your own choice. The Symposium is scheduled for
Sunday, 27 March, 2pm – 7pm,
Monday, 28 March, 9am – 5pm,
Tuesday, 29 March, 9am – 2pm.
There will be a dinner and a 65th birthday reception in honour of Heinz Kurz on the evening of 28 March, to which we would cordially like to invite you as well.
We have applied for funding at various institutions and expect to be able to cover all the costs for meals, coffee breaks, etc. as well as to provide some limited financial support for covering travel expenses and accommodation costs to those colleagues who cannot obtain any funds from their home institutions. In order to facilitate our further planning, please let us know by 14 January 2011 at the latest
- if you will be able to attend the Symposium in honour of Heinz Kurz,
- if you want to present a paper (and, if possible, also the preliminary title).
The time for presentations will be 30 - 45 minutes, depending on the number of contributions we receive. If necessary, we will run parallel sessions.
